Movie magic: these summer holidays discover the real magic of the movies.

These summer holidays discover the real magic of the movies through an interactive exhibition at Motat. Special FX - Secrets Behind the Screen shows you all the visual effect tricks used from the earliest days of cinema to the latest blockbusters. You can also star in your own movie that is available for purchase. Demonstrate your creativity by using blue-screen technology, computer-generated imagery, matte graphics and models.

A school holiday programme runs at Motat daily from 10am to 5pm, from Saturday, 5 January to Wednesday, 6 February. Activities available every day include producing stop motion animation, voice recording with special effects and bottle rocket launching.
