Central Connector

Work on the Central Connector project will start in March with sections of Park and Beach roads, and Anzac Avenue. The project will see bus lanes installed between Britomart and Khyber Pass Road, improving bus travel times and connections with other public transport services. Work will include realigning kerbs, relocating underground services, improving streetscapes and traffic signalling, and strengthening Grafton Bridge. The Central Connector will improve bus travel between the CBD and Newmarket and link with the Northern Busway at Britomart. It will also ultimately connect with bus lanes planned for Great South, Manukau and Remuera roads.
