The much-anticipated Music in Parks series is back for its 15th year and has
something for everyone - with more than 40 free concerts from January to March.

Flying high at Mission Bay
A new sculpture at Mission Bay's Selwyn Reserve celebrates the achievements of
the Walsh brothers, local aviation pioneers. .
Central Connector
Work on the Central Connector project will start in March with sections of Park
and Beach roads, and Anzac Avenue.
Owairaka Reserve
Work starts this month to upgrade Owairaka Avenue Reserve, including
constructing a multi-purpose recreation area, new courts and a car park, as well
as landscaping and paving work.
Holiday fun
Keep the kids occupied by enrolling them in an Auckland City Council holiday
programme.
Stormwater upgrade
Work to upgrade stormwater and drainage systems at Hillsborough Cemetery starts
this month.
Applications open
Applications are now open for the community group assistance fund.
Safer cycling in Mt Albert
Work on cycle lanes along Mt Albert Road, from the intersection of Woodward and
Carrington roads to the intersection of Sandringham Road Extension and Mt Albert
Road, was recently completed.
