Waitangi Day Festival '08
For the first time, Ngati Whatua o Orakei Maori Trust Board
and the council will together host a free celebration of Waitangi Day at Okahu
Bay on Wednesday, 6 February.
Condolence books to honour Sir Edmund
Auckland City Mayor Hon John Banks (above) was one of the first people to sign
one of two condolence books that the council has provided for people wanting to
write a personal message to the Hillary family after the death of Sir Edmund on
Friday, 11 January.
