Music in Parks: Don McGlashan and the Seven Sisters (top) will entertain at Point Chevalier's Coyle Park on Monday, 28 January (3pm to 6pm) and Thrive, including saxophonist Lewis McCallum (bottom), will perform at the Auckland Domain Band Rotunda on Sunday, 3 February (2pm to 4pm).

Don't miss the talent on offer during the council's Music in Parks programme, which continues throughout February.

A summer full of great Auckland events continues throughout February with more than 40 free Music in Parks concerts across the city. The council provides more than 60 free community events and festivals each summer - and is involved in almost everything that goes on in our city, including organising and sponsoring events that give Aucklanders more choice about how to spend their leisure time.

Upcoming Holden Astra Summer Sounds concerts feature Don McGlashan and the Seven Sisters, Tim Guy and Heavy Jones Trio at Pt Chevalier's Coyle Park; Midge Marsden and Tom Sharplin and the Cadillacs at Blockhouse Bay Beach Reserve; and Ardijah and Chong-Nee at Otahuhu's Sturges Park.

Jazz musicians Thrive and Cherie Matheison, the Murray McNabb Quartet, Lippizanas with Phil Broadhurst and Slow Burn entertain during Drake Jazz at the Rotunda on Sundays in the Auckland Domain. Experience The Culture Garden concerts featuring The NBR New Zealand Opera Resident Artists at St Heliers' Dingle Dell Reserve, along with the Four Brothers Saxophone Quartet, Bravura and Jubilation at the Auckland Domain Wintergardens.
