Kiwi flicks for freeFrom City Scene, published on 27 January, 2008
Movies in Parks, the much-anticipated addition to Auckland City Council's 2008 Music in Parks programme, kicks off on Waitangi Day, Wednesday, 6 February, when Whale Rider screens at 7.30pm - following pre-show entertainment provided by Johnny Corker. Movies in Parks is a series of midweek screenings of classic New Zealand films projected after dusk onto a large inflatable screen at Mt Eden's Tahaki Reserve. Other films in the series include Sione's Wedding, Sleeping Dogs, Goodbye Pork Pie and The World's Fastest Indian.
