Enjoy the glamour and excitement of Auckland Cup Week at Ellerslie Race Course from Saturday, 1 to Saturday, 8 March.

The racing kicks off with the Mercedes Derby Day, the premier race for 3-year-old horses, on 1 March. While there promises to be plenty of action on the track, fashion hopefuls will also be competing on the catwalk against winners from fashion events across the country in the Mercedes Prix de Fashion - the nationwide racing fashion finale (won last year by Lorraine Cookson, left).

Head along to the country's most well known horse racing event, the Stella Artois Auckland Cup Day on 5 March and see the nation's finest horses, jockeys and trainers compete for the Stella Artois Auckland Cup trophy. Then end the week in style at the First Sovereign Trust Diamond Day on 8 March. The main races on the day are the Ford Diamond Stakes for the country's best two-year-old horses and the First Sovereign Trust New Zealand Stakes. With $30,000 worth of fabulous diamonds from Angela Daniel Jewellery to be won for the best-dressed racegoers, make sure you don't miss out.

Newmarket is the place to be on Tuesday, 4 March to watch former Auckland Cup winners and racing celebrities parade down Broadway.
