New wharf for Orapiu Marine enthusiasts can now enjoy a more pleasurable experience on the wharf at Orapiu on Waiheke Island. Sections of the wharf have been rebuilt to make it safer and it now features new decking, handrails and a navigational light on the wharf head for boaties, ferry passengers and those fishing. New footpath for Bullock Track Following construction of a retaining wall in 2007, the council recently completed the finishing touches to Bullock Track in Western Springs. This popular thoroughfare for pedestrians and motorists has been resealed, making the well-used route safer for all users - including walkers, who are now able to enjoy a smoother surface.
