Safer roads for our city

Work to reseal Victoria Street West, between Albert and Hobson streets (pictured), in the central city, and Church Street, between Mountjoy Place and Captain Springs Road, in Te Papapa, has been completed. The intersection of Richardson Road and Hendon Avenue in Owairaka has also been upgraded to improve the road surface. The works are part of ongoing maintenance of the city's 1415km of roads, making them safer for all users.

Vincent Steet upgrade

Vincent Street, between Cook and Pitt streets, is now safer and more attractive for all road users after a recent upgrade by the council. The work involved improvements to the kerbs and drainage channels, as well creating a new cycle and bus lane, and increased parking. The council is committed to providing more transport choices for Aucklanders.

Biking made better

The council has upgraded a section of the North-western cycleway, between Patiki and Rosebank roads. This work is part of our ongoing maintenance of Auckland's cycle network.

Footpath upgrades in Avondale

Auckland City Council recently completed footpath upgrades on Roberton Road, between Great North and Rosebank roads, in Avondale. The new footpaths make walking safer and more enjoyable.
