Museum planFrom City Scene, published on 6 April, 2008 The council's Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee has endorsed a master plan to improve the areas surrounding the Auckland War Memorial Museum and cenotaph. Planned improvements include enhanced lighting, additional footpaths, replacing car-parking spaces below the court of honour with an artwork or water feature, and a paved area with seating above the court of honour and in front of the museum. Chairperson of the Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee, Councillor Greg Moyle, says the council has worked closely with key stakeholders to ensure the master plan addresses their requirements.
