Horton helps conservationFrom City Scene, published on 6 April, 2008
Auckland Zoo hosts the New Zealand charity premiere of Horton Hears a Who on Friday, 11 April at 7pm. The movie is based on the Dr Seuss book about Horton, an elephantwho hears a faint cry for help coming from a tiny speck of dust that houses a city of microscopic characters. The movie will be the zoo's first outdoor screening, projected after dusk onto a large inflatable 18m-wide screen at the band rotunda. There are limited spaces available so book early by phoning 360 3805. Proceeds from the event will go to the Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund to help animals in the wild.
