City Scene on audio

Since 2004, the council has worked with the Foundation of the Blind to provide an audio version of City Scene. An estimated 200 people regularly use the foundation’s telephone service to access City Scene information - including everything from events, stories and rubbish collection dates to information about the council’s draft annual plan and public notices. The council funds the cost of narrating City Scene for the foundation’s telephone information service. This audio service is just one of the ways the council is improving access for its diverse population.
