Auckland Zoo’s Art for Conservation exhibition
Art for Conservation: showcase of works by zoo keeper and painter Justine Woosnam, elephants Kashin and Burma, chimpanzee Janie and orang-utan Indra.

Auckland Zoo’s Art for Conservation exhibition (5 to 8 June) showcases works by some very special artists, with sales benefiting the Amphibian Ark Year of the Frog campaign. Along with 10 art works generously donated by zoo keeper and painter Justine Woosnam, there are works by elephants Kashin and Burma, chimpanzee Janie and orang-utan Indra – painted as part of the animals’ behavioural enrichment programme to keep them stimulated and challenged.
