Work starts on St Patrick's Square

From City Scene, published on 24 August, 2008

An official site blessing and sod-turning ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 27 August to mark the start of work in St Patrick's Square. The council is upgrading the square to create a quality urban oasis in central Auckland. Key features of the upgrade include new water features, art works, paving, lighting, seating and trees.

The work is being done in stages to minimise disruption and is expected to be completed by November 2009.
