Art enrolments open

Art class: Enrolments are open for next year's art classes at Artstation.

Anyone interested in developing their artistic skills in 2009 need look no further than Artstation, Auckland City Council's community art centre in Ponsonby.

A popular destination for night classes and short courses, it also offers year-long classes taught by professional artists.

First offered in 2007, 360° An Introduction to the Visual Arts introduces students to painting and drawing before expanding into printmaking, sculpture and photography. Art theory and critical thinking are also included in this course.

All of Artstation's year-long courses finish with an exhibition in the Artstation gallery. This is a great opportunity to see the high level of work that students produce.
