Louis Vuitton Pacific Series: World-class sailing is coming to the Waitemata Harbour this month.

One lucky City Scene reader has the chance to win a place as the "18th man" on one of the yachts racing in the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series, commencing this month.

The inaugural competition, supported by the council, features some of the world's top sailors - including Dean Barker and Russell Coutts. It will take place from 30 January until 14 February in the Waitemata Harbour. Not since the America's Cup in 2003 has Auckland seen such an exciting sailing competition.

Everyone will be able to enjoy the action onshore at the Regatta Village in the Viaduct Harbour, with all day activities for the whole family.
