Funding applications for community events and activities
for Matariki - Māori new year - are now open.
Supported by Auckland City Council, Matariki Festival 2009
runs from 24 June to 24 July, and features Māori music, art, dance, and theatre.
Individuals and groups seeking council funding
for the festival should visit

application forms and funding criteria.
Applications close at 4.30pm on Friday, 27 February 2009.
