Getting on with it - Mayor opens new playground

Opening: Mayor of Auckland city, Hon. John Banks, with Tamaki Community Board and Panmure Basin Advisory Committee members.

Children can now enjoy an exciting new playground at Panmure Basin, which was officially opened by Mayor of Auckland city, Hon. John Banks.

The Clearly Road playground was designed by local Maori artist, Pita Turei. It depicts a local Taniwha, Hikuwaru.

The project was jointly funded by Tamaki Community Board and Mt Wellington Charitable Trust.
