Come and enjoy the community spirit down at Meola Reef in
Pt Chevalier at a community picnic that will be held from 1pm-5pm on Saturday,
21 March.
With free entertainment, activities for the kids, guided
walks and environmental demonstrations, make sure you pack a picnic and come
along.
"This is a great chance for the community to learn about
local initiatives they can get involved in to help protect the reef area," says
Councillor Paul Goldsmith, chairperson of the Community Services Committee.
A free bus service will be running regularly in nearby
locations to get you to and from the picnic.
This will run in a circuit all day and will stop at the
picnic, and at the following locations.
- Pt Chevalier shopping centre, Great North Road, pick-up
outside WINZ.
- Pt Chevalier Road, pick-up corner of Dignan Street.
- Garnet Road shopping centre, pick-up opposite Oban Road.
- Garnet Road, pick-up opposite Warwick Avenue.
Rain date: 28 March.
