A whakapapa workshop is taking place in the Central City
Library on Sunday, 29 March. Focussing on the tools that are available for Maori
genealogical research, the objective is to provide access to
Auckland City
Libraries' collections of microfilm, published literature and manuscripts.
Additionally an introduction to Maori genealogical
terminology and the oral recital technique will be provided to complement the
written word.
The cost to take part in this workshop is $20 and bookings
are essential.
