Winter rules: The end of daylight savings means dogs are now allowed on Auckland city beaches at all times

Daylight savings time has drawn to a close, along with the summer dogs on beaches rules.

You are now free to exercise your dog on a leash at all Auckland city beaches at any hour of the day or night. Your dog can be off-leash on any Auckland city beach after 4pm and before 10am.

There are special rules for the Hauraki Gulf islands, call Auckland City Council for more information.

Please remember to dispose of any doggy waste.
