Construction of new and improved Plunket rooms for
Sandringham and Kingsland has begun.
The original rooms were destroyed nearly two years ago in a
Guy Fawkes arson attack. Auckland City Council's Eden/Albert Community Board has
contributed $220,000 towards the construction of the new rooms.
"We're extremely grateful to the council for its support,"
says Kate Saunders, president of the Sandringham/Kingsland Plunket committee.
"We do, however, still need to raise a further $100,000 for
the interior fit-out and a new playground. So, if you're a business, family or
individual who would like to help out in some way, it will be much appreciated."
To donate, please email the
Sandringham/Kingsland Plunket committee.
