Have your say - Hunua 4
From City Scene, published on 2 August, 2009.
Ever wondered how population growth will affect water
supply to Auckland?
Come along to one of Watercare Services
Limited's public
information sessions to find out more on its proposal to construct a new treated
water main from Manukau to Epsom.
Called Hunua 4, it will cater for population growth over
the next 50 years and will increase the security of the water supply.
The proposed water main will cross the new SH20 Manukau
Harbour Bridge, pass through Onehunga via Victoria Street to Mt Smart Road and
then along residential streets to Horotutu Road. From there, it will either
follow Campbell Road and Wheturangi Road, or the eastern boundary of Cornwall
Park, until it reaches Market Road.
There will be two meetings taking place at the
Onehunga
Library (83 Church Street, Onehunga) from 3pm to 5pm on Tuesday, 11 August and
from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, 15 August.
Unable to make any of these sessions? Information boards
will be on display in the library from 10 to 15 August.
