News in brief: Newmarket roads

As part of the extensive upgrade of Auckland's motorway network, NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is replacing the Newmarket viaduct with a more modern, wider, better-performing structure.

This is planned to reduce traffic congestion, particularly for drivers travelling south. As a result, there will be delays and closures of key roads in the area over the coming months.
