News in brief: Maungawhau-Mt Eden road

Auckland City Council is making improvements to part of the
Maungawhau-Mt Eden summit road this month as the current road surface is in need
of maintenance.
The summit road will be closed at the junction with Mt Eden
Road from approximately 28 September to mid-October (weather permitting) while
the reconstruction work is carried out. During this time, the road will be
accessible to pedestrians only.
Areas that restrict public access will be clearly marked.
