Victoria Park Tunnel: information sessions
From City Scene, published on 22 November, 2009.
As work on the NZ Transport Agency's Victoria Park Tunnel
project gets under way, a second round of community drop-in sessions will be
held later this month.
The tunnel project will see three northbound lanes under
Victoria Park, and the existing viaduct converted to four southbound lanes.
Improvements will also be made to SH1 through St Marys Bay.
Victoria Park Tunnel will provide people with faster and
more reliable travel between the south and north of the city.
To inform the public of what is going on there will be
three drop-in sessions, where interested parties can get an overview of the
project progress and programme.
The sessions will be held at the Victoria Park Tunnel
office in 100 Beaumont Street, Auckland, as follows:
- Saturday, 28 November, one session from 11am to 2pm
- Monday, 30 November, two sessions from noon to 2pm and
5pm to 7pm.
