Application for resource consent

Auckland City Council has received an application for
resource consent under the Resource Management Act 1991 for the following site:
- 94-130 Haverstock Road, Sandringham.

Details
The applicant seeks consent to redevelop the subject site
to provide for 41 new residential units. The existing 19 units would be
demolished or removed.
Resource consent is required for an "Integrated Housing
Development" and for
the following reasons:
- the removal of 10 generally protected trees
- pruning or work within the dripline of five other
generally protected trees
- earthworks
- works within a site identified as contaminated
(earthworks on adjoining Horticulture & Food Research Institute), and on a site
identified as potentially subject to flooding.
Development control modifications to the following controls
are also required:
- building in relation to boundary
- minimum landscaped permeable
- maximum paved impermeable
- front-yard landscaping
- parking in the front yard
- not providing the required floor area for 14 two-bedroom
units
- a shortfall of 20 parking spaces
- the gradient of the driveways for six units
- providing more than two vehicle crossings onto Haverstock
Road
- the provision of six stacked parking spaces
- the lack of onsite reverse manoeuvring for seven of the
units.
Overall, the proposal is a discretionary activity under the
isthmus section of the operative district plan (1999).
