Charities Act - free workshops

Are you involved in running a not-for-profit organisation? Have you considered registering under the Charities Act? Are you eligible? What are the benefits of
doing so? What does it involve?

The Charities Commission and Auckland City Council invite you to attend one of six free workshops on registration under the Charities Act. The workshops - in anticipation of 1 July changes to tax laws for charities - will explain how registration with the Charities Commission will ensure your organisation continues to be eligible for charitable
tax exemptions.

Bookings for the two-hour workshops are essential. They are being held at:

• Onehunga on Wednesday, 21 May 2008
• Western Springs on Thursday, 22 May 2008
• Mt Roskill on Friday, 23 May 2008
• Grey Lynn on Wednesday, 28 May 2008
