City Scene distribution
From City Scene, published on 18 May 2008
City Scene is a registered newspaper, published 49 weeks a
year, which contains public notices and information about Auckland City Council
decisions, projects and events.
City Scene is distributed to more than 172,000 residential
letterboxes and post boxes throughout Auckland city.
As a local authority publication, City Scene can be legally
delivered to all addresses in Auckland city. Such material is exempt from part
22 of Auckland City Council's solid waste bylaw, passed in October 2006, which
prohibits delivery of unaddressed advertising material to letterboxes carrying
"no junk mail" or similar signage.
City Scene's distribution contract does allow for its
delivery at the same time as other non-council material (where appropriate),
provided this material is not inserted (interfolded) within City Scene.
If you receive non-council material interfolded with City
Scene, or if you miss your weekly copy, visit
the website
or phone 379 2020 to
let us know so our distributors can remedy the problem.
