Proposed road closures

Fort Lane (between Fort Street and Customs Street East), central city, on either Saturday, 17 May or Saturday, 24 May. This closure is to build judder bars on sections of the road. Residential access will be maintained when construction activities permit.

The eastbound lane of New North Road (between the northbound Dominion Road onramp and Porters Avenue), Eden Terrace, between 8pm on Monday, 26 May and 6am on Tuesday, 27 May and 6am on Tuesday, 27 May. (Rain dates: Tuesday, 27 to Saturday, 31 May.) This closure will enable the investigation of the Dominion Road bridge to be carried out safely.

Barricades, detours and marshals will be in place to direct traffic safely around the work zone. For more information, phone Anita Dovaston of Opus International Consultants on 355 9500.

The following proposed road closures apply to all except authorised and emergency vehicles. For more information, phone Auckland City Council on 379 2020.

Jellicoe Street, Brigham Street, Hamer Street, Beaumont Street (between Jellicoe and Pakenham streets), Pakenham Street, Madden Street, Daldy Street and Halsey Street (between Pakenham and Jellicoe streets), central city, between 7am and 3pm on Sunday, 1 June for the New Zealand Duathlon Championships/NZSS Duathlon Championships.

Patteson Avenue (between Tamaki Drive and Marau Crescent), Mission Bay, between 6am and 9am on Sunday, 8 June for the Auckland Secondary Schools Cycling Time Trials.

Ocean View Road (between Kuaka and Tui streets), Oneroa, between noon and 4pm on Sunday, 8 June for the Waiheke Trolley Derby. (Rain date: Sunday, 15 June.)

Mahuhu Crescent and Te Taou Crescent, central city, between 6pm and 11.30pm on Wednesday, 11 June for the WWE Smackdown/ECW live wrestling event at Vector Arena. Tangihua Street (between Beach Road and Quay Street), central city, will also be closed post event for approximately 20 minutes to help with crowd dispersal.
