Application for resource consent

Auckland City Council has received an application for
resource consent under the Resource Management Act 1991 for 36 Heaphy Street,
Blockhouse Bay. You can make a submission on this application. See the end of

Details
The application is for a three-lot subdivision over two
existing sites to create one new 518m2 vacant rear lot in the Residential 5
zone. Each of the underlying sites are zoned for a single dwelling and the
creation of the lot will allow for an additional dwelling to be built. One of
the subject sites was subdivided in 2002 around two residential units, creating
two lots, one of 362m2 and one of 716m2.This application involves the larger of
these two lots, being 38B Heaphy Street, and the adjoining 809m2 site, being 36
Heaphy Street. The proposal does not comply with the access standards in terms
of width, and will result in the removal of two generally protected liquidambar
trees.
