Proposed road closure

From City Scene, published on 20 July 2008

Fort Street (between Jean Batten Place and Queen Street), central city, between 7am and 10.30pm on Saturday, 26 and Sunday, 27 July. This closure will allow the installation of a pedestrian access ramp. (Rain dates: Saturday, 2 and Sunday, 3 August.)

Barricades, detours and marshals will direct pedestrians and vehicles safely around the work zone.

Church Street (between Avenue Road and High Street), Otahuhu between 6pm Monday 28 July and 6am Tuesday 29 July. This closure will allow pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction. (Rain date: the next suitable night between Tuesday, 5 August and Friday, 8 August.)

Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detour. Residents will be given controlled access.

Woodbine Avenue and Wairakei, Walpole and Mitchelson streets, Greenlane, between 7pm and 6am nightly from Monday, 28 to Thursday, 31 July. These closures allow work on speed humps in these streets. (Rain dates: Thursday 31 July and Sunday 10 August.)

Barricades, detour signs and marshals will direct traffic and pedestrians safely around the work zone. Residents will still be given access at all times.

The westbound lane of Boston Road (between Normanby and Mt Eden roads), Mt Eden, between 9am and 3.30pm on Saturday, 2 August. This closure will allow access to a construction site on Boston Road. (Rain dates: Saturday, 9 or Saturday, 16 August.) Barricades, detour signage and marshals will direct traffic and pedestrians safely around the work zone.
