Proposed plan modification 29

The summary of decisions requested by submitters and copies of the submissions in respect of plan modification 29 are now available for public inspection.

Anybody can make a further submission on a plan modification.

This private plan change was first advertised in City Scene on 29 June 2008.

The private plan change seeks to amend Part 14.6 - Britomart Precinct of the operative central area district plan to replace the existing height controls which apply to the Seafarer's site, and part of the adjoining sites, with the Harbour Edge Height Control Plane in rule 6.2.1a(ii) and 6.5 of the plan.

The application of the Harbour Edge Height Control Plane will allow for a building on the Seafarer's site (with overhangs of up to 3m on the two adjoining sites) up to approximately 80m in height on the Quay Street (northern) frontage of the site and up to approximately 105m on the Tyler Street (southern) frontage of the site.

Consequential amendments are proposed to the site intensity controls, objectives, policies and assessment criteria of Part 14.6 - Britomart Precinct together with associated explanatory text.
