Proposed road closuresFrom City Scene, published on 7 September 2008 Patteson Avenue (between Tamaki Drive and Marau Crescent), Mission Bay, between 6am and 9am on Sunday, 21 September for the Auckland Secondary Schools Cycling time trials. This closure applies to all except authorised and emergency vehicles. For more information, phone Auckland City Council on 379 2020. Fort Street (between Jean Batten Place and Queen Street), central city, between 7am and 10.30pm on Saturday, 20 September for the installation of a pedestrian access ramp at the intersection of Fort and Queen streets. (Rain date: 27 September.) Barricades, detours and marshals will direct pedestrians and vehicles safely around the work zone. For more information, phone Quality Traffic Services on 820 3333. The two northbound lanes of Queen Street (between Wakefield and Wellesley streets), central city, between 5pm and 7pm on Saturday, 13 September for the Qantas Screen Awards. Trafalgar Street, Mt Smart Road (between Selwyn Street and Onehunga Mall) and Onehunga Mall (between Mt Smart Road and Grey Streeet), Onehunga, between 4pm on Sunday, 21 September and 6am on Monday, 22 September for resurfacing work. (Rain dates: between Monday, 22 September and Friday, 24 October.) A traffic management plan will be in place, including detours, and staff will be onsite to assist.
