Proposed road closures

Market Place (between Fanshawe Street and Pakenham Street East), central city, between 6am on Saturday, 22 November and 6pm on Sunday, 23 November to allow the safe dismantling of a tower crane at a nearby site. (Rain dates: Friday, 28 and Saturday, 29 November.) Barricades, detours and marshals will direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone.

Grandstand Road North and South, Little George Street, Titoki Street, Maunsell Road, Maunsell Road Extension, Lower Domain Drive, Lovers Lane, Kiosk Road, Football Road, The Crescent, Museum Circuit, Cenotaph Road and Domain Drive (between Park and Parnell roads), Auckland Domain, between 5.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday, 19 November for the Push Play Corporate Challenge. This closure applies to all except authorised and emergency vehicles.

Kingston Street (between Federal and Albert streets), central city, between 6am on Saturday, 15 November and 2pm on Sunday, 16 November, and again between 6am and 4pm on Saturday, 22 November to allow the safe lifting of materials to the District Court building for maintenance work. (Rain date: Sunday, 23 November.) Barricades, detours and marshals will direct traffic and pedestrians safely around the work zone.

Hamer Street, Brigham Street and Jellicoe Street (between Beaumont and Daldy streets), central city, between 5.30pm and 7.45pm on Thursday, 27 November for the Cyco Cycle Criterium Series. This closure applies to all except authorised and emergency vehicles.

Alfred Street (between Princes and Symonds streets) between 7am on Monday, 17 November and 7pm on Sunday, 23 November. (Rain dates: the next available days between Monday, 24 November and Friday, 5 December.) A traffic management plan will be in place, including detours.

Arney Road (between approximately 30 and 56 Arney Road), Remuera, between 9am and 1pm on Tuesday, 11 November to allow the safe assembly of a tower crane on a nearby site. Barricades, detours and marshals will direct traffic and pedestrians safely around the work zone. Residents and emergency vehicles will be given access at all times.

Parliament Street and Short Street, central city, between 7pm and 5am for two nights between Sunday, 9 and Thursday, 13 November. These closures are required for paving work on Anzac Avenue. (Rain dates: the next available nights between Sunday, 16 and Thursday, 27 November.) A traffic management plan will be in place, including detours, and staff will be available to assist traffic.

Boyle Crescent and Glasgow Terrace (between Park and Carlton Gore roads), Grafton, between Monday, 10 and Friday, 14 November to allow work on an intersection. (Rain dates: the next available days between Saturday, 15 and Friday, 28 November.) A traffic management plan will be in place, including detours, and staff will be available to assist traffic and residents.

Access to Wakefield and Airedale streets from Symonds Street, central city, at the following times for trenching work in the area:

  • between 7am on Saturday, 15 November and 6am on Monday, 17 November
  • nightly between 7pm and 6am from Monday, 17 to Friday, 21 November
  • between 7am on Saturday, 22 November and 6am on Monday, 24 November
  • nightly between 7pm and 6am from Monday, 24 to Friday, 28 November.

(Rain dates: between 7am on Saturday, 29 November and 6am on Monday, 1 December and nightly between 7pm and 6am from Monday, 1 to Friday, 5 December.)
