Proposed road closures
From City Scene, published on 16 November 2008
Kingston Street (between Federal and Albert streets),
central city, between 6am and 4pm on Saturday, 29 November to allow lifting of
materials for maintenance of the District Court building. Barricades, detours
and marshals will direct traffic and pedestrians safely around the work zone.

Emily Place (outside number 48, the eastern side of Emily
Place reserve), central city, between 7am and 1pm on Saturday, 22 November to
allow the lifting of materials to the building at 48 Emily Place. Barricades,
detours and marshals will direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the work
zone.

The following proposed road closures apply to all except
authorised and emergency vehicles.

Mahuhu Crescent and Te Taou Crescent, central city, are
proposed to be closed at the following times for the listed events at Vector
Arena:
- between 6pm and 11pm on Saturday, 6 December for the
Alicia Keys concert
- between 6pm and 11pm on Monday, 8 and Tuesday, 9 December
for the Kylie Minogue concerts.
Tangihua Street, central city, will also be closed for
about 20 mintues at the end of these events to help with crowd dispersal.
Pilkington Road (between Pleasant View and Queens roads)
and Queens Road (from Jellicoe Road up to and including the Tripoli Road
roundabout), Panmure, between 10.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday, 6 December for
the Panmure Santa Parade, festival and market day.
Blockhouse Bay Road (from Exminster Street to Gill
Crescent/Gillfillan Street) and Exminster Street (from the western entrance to
Windermere Crescent to Blockhouse Bay Road), Blockhouse Bay, between 9am and 2pm
on Saturday, 6 December for the Blockhouse Bay Santa Parade and street party.
Beazley Ave, Penrose, is proposed to be closed at the
following times for the listed events at Mt Smart Stadium:
- between 8am and 4pm on Friday,
5 December for the LA Galaxy and Oceania All Stars schools' training day (this
event is closed to the public)
- between 8am to 11pm on Saturday, 6 December for the LA
Galaxy vs Oceania All Stars exhibition match.
O'Rorke Road, Penrose, will also be closed between 9pm and
11pm on Saturday, 6 December.
