Road closures

Market Place (between Fanshawe Street and Pakenham Street East), central city, between 6am and 6pm on Wednesday, 7 and Thursday, 8 January to allow the safe dismantling of a tower crane at a nearby site. (Rain dates: Saturday, 10 and Sunday, 11 January.) Barricades, detours and marshals will direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone. The Esplanade (between Hamilton Road and Kiwi Street), Waiheke Island, between 6am and 2pm on Saturday, 17 January for the Waiheke Island Wharf to Wharf Fun Run. This closure applies to all except authorised and emergency vehicles. For more information, phone Auckland City Council on 379 2020.

Federal Street (between Wellesley Street West and Victoria Street West), central city, between 6am and 6pm on Saturday, 10 and Sunday, 11 January to allow equipment to be lifted safely to a nearby building. (Rain dates: Saturday, 17 and Sunday, 18 January.) Barricades and marshals will direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone. Kingston Street (between Federal and Albert streets), central city, between 6am and 6pm on Saturday, 27 December in order to allow materials to be lifted safely to a nearby site. Barricades, detours and marshals will direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone. Beasley Avenue, Penrose, between 6am on Friday, 16 and 1am on Saturday, 17 January, and Maurice Road and O'Rorke Road, Penrose, between 8pm on Friday 16 and 1am on Saturday, 17 January for the Big Day Out at Mt Smart Stadium.
