Central Connector

The following proposed road closures will allow resurfacing
work to take place as part of the Central Connector project. (Rain dates: The
next available nights between Thursday, 19 and Wednesday, 25 March.)
Alten Road and Waterloo Quadrant, central city
- Alten Road (between Symonds Street and State Highway 16)
between 1am and 5am on Monday, 23 February.
- Waterloo Quadrant (between Symonds and Princes streets)
between 1am and 5am on Tuesday, 24 February.
- Alten Road and Waterloo Quadrant between 1am and 5am on
one additional morning between Wednesday, 25 February and Friday, 6 March. Road
closures will not be in place at the same time.
Symonds Street, Alfred Street and Grafton Road, central
city
- Citybound lanes along Symonds Street (between Wellesley
Street and Grafton Road) between 7pm and 6am on Thursday, 26 February; Monday, 2
March; and Tuesday, 3 March. Also between 9am and 3.30pm on Friday, 27 February.
- Symonds Street (between Wellesley Street and Grafton
Road) between 7pm on Friday, 27 February and 6am on Monday, 2 March.
- Alfred Street and Grafton Road (between the State Highway
16 onramp and Symonds Street) between 1am and 5am from Monday, 2 to Wednesday, 4
March. Road closures will not be in place at the
same time.
Traffic management plans will be in place, including
detours, and staff will be onsite to assist motorists. Emergency vehicles will
be given access at all times.
