Proposed road closures
From City Scene, published on 1 March 2009
Alfred Street (between Neilson and Church streets), central
city, between 7pm and 6am on Tuesday, 3 and Wednesday, 4 March to carry out
resurfacing work. (Rain dates: the next available nights between Thursday, 5 and
Friday, 20 March.) A traffic management plan will be in place, including
detours, and staff will be onsite to assist.

Kingston Street (between Federal and Albert streets),
central city, between 6am and 4pm on Saturday, 14 March to allow loading on a
nearby site. (Rain date: Sunday,15 March.) Barricades, detours and marshals will
be direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone.

Mahuhu Crescent and Te Taou Crescent, central city, between
6pm and 11pm on the following dates:
- Wednesday, 18 and Thursday, 19 March for the Coldplay
concerts
- Wednesday, 25 March for the Kings of Leon concert.
Tangihua Street (between Beach Road and Quay Street),
central city, will be closed for about 20 minutes at the end of these events to
help with crowd dispersal.
Stonefields Avenue, St Johns, between 7am and 8pm on
Sunday, 22 March for the Pak n Save Eastern Suburbs Soapbox Derby.
Newnham Lane, Mt Eden between 8am and 5pm on Saturday, 21
March for Artists in Eden.
Wolfe Street and Federal Street, (between Swanson and Fanshawe streets),
central city, between 7am and noon on Saturday, 14 March and
Queen Street (between Wakefield Street and Mayoral Drive), central city, between
10am and 4pm on the same day for the St Patrick's Day parade and festival.
