Proposed road closures

Walmsley Road (between Kaka Street and Station Road), between 7pm on Friday, 27 March and 6am on Monday, 30 March to allow road rehabilitation. (Rain dates: the next available nights between Friday, 3 and Monday, 20 April.) A traffic management plan will be in place, including detours, and staff will be onsite to assist.

Queen Street (between Quay Street and Customs Street East), central city, has had rain dates from Wednesday, 27 to Friday, 29 March added to the already-scheduled closure between Monday, 20 and Wednesday, 22 March. These additional dates are due to unforeseen conditions that delayed work originally scheduled for early March.

The following proposed road closures apply to all except authorised and emergency vehicles. For more information, phone Auckland City Council.

Mahuhu Crescent and Te Taou Crescent, central city, between 6pm and 11pm on Wednesday, 8 April for The Killers' concert at Vector Arena. Tangihua Street (between Beach Road and Quay Street) will also be closed for about 20 minutes at the end of the concert to help with crowd dispersal.

Ngauruhoe Street, (between Mt Eden Road and Newnham Lane), Mt Eden, between 8am and 5pm on Saturday, 4 April for the Mt Eden Village fete. (Rain date: Sunday, 5 April.)

St Heliers Bay Road (between Tamaki Drive and Polygon Road), St Heliers, between 6.30am and 5.30pm on Saturday, 4 April for the St Heliers Bay Village community festival.
