Westfield St Lukes
Proposed plan modification 8 - private plan change
Auckland City Council has agreed to accept and notify
proposed plan modification 8 which is a private plan change request under the
Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). This application from Westfield New Zealand
Limited (the applicant) relates to land:
- currently zoned business 8 and located north of St Lukes
Road, west of Cornwallis Street and east of Morningside Drive
- currently zoned business 4 located between Exeter Road
and Morningside Drive
- currently zoned residential 7b located east and north of
Exeter Road
- currently zoned residential 6a located between Exeter
Road and Aroha Avenue
- the southern leg of Exeter Road.
This is as specifically shown in the rezoning plan that
forms schedule 1 of the plan change.
The plan change seeks to expand the business 8 zoned land
by rezoning sites owned by the applicant from business 4, residential 7b and
residential 6a to business 8. The applicant also seeks to rezone the southern
leg of Exeter Road to business 8. In addition to that, the applicant proposes to
replace the existing concept plan that applies to the shopping centre with a
revised set of provisions. The new concept plan will apply to the existing
shopping centre, and the new properties identified above and shown on the
rezoning plan.
The proposed plan change seeks to enable a greater range of
activities, an increase in height limits and an increase in floor area. The plan
change will also provide for the extension of Exeter Road through to Aroha
Avenue. Other provisions include interface controls and assessment criteria that
apply around the boundary of the site. Full details of the plan change and the
supporting documents are found in the application material.
