Road closures

From City Scene, published on 21 June 2009

Queens Road (between Church Crescent and Tripoli Road intersection up to Pilkington Road) and Basin View Lane (at the Queens Road entrance), Panmure, between 6am and 2pm on Sunday, 5 July. Also, Maungarei Memorial Drive, Panmure, between 9.30am to 12.30am on Sunday 5 July. These closures are for the King of the Mountain event. This closure applies to all except authorised and emergency vehicles.

Mt Eden Road left turning bay into Boston Road, central city, between 9am and 4pm, and 8pm and 5am, from Tuesday, 24 June to Thursday, 26 June to allow continuing work on sewer separation in the area. (Rain date: Monday, 29 June to Friday, 3 July.) Barricades, detours and marshals will direct traffic and pedestrians safely around the work zone.

Queen Street (between Fort and Shortland streets, with limited access between Fort and Customs streets, and Shortland and Wyndham streets), central city, between 4am and 7pm on Saturday, 30 and Sunday, 31 May to allow the safe dismantling of a tower crane. (Rain dates: either Saturday, 6 and Sunday, 7 June; Saturday, 13 and Sunday, 14 June; or Saturday, 20 and Sunday, 21 June.) Barricades, detours and marshals will direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the closure. Emergency vehicles will still be given access.
