At the extraordinary meeting of the Zoo Board held on
15
June 2009 it was resolved as follows.
2 - Elephant precinct at Auckland Zoo
- That the Proposed Budget Changes 10-Year Plan 2009-2019
report of Grant Smith, corporate planning manager, to the Combined Committees
meeting of 18 June 2009, be received.
That it be a recommendation to 18 June 2009 Combined
Committees meeting:
- That an allowance of $65,000 be made to progress the
import health standards.
- That it be noted that there may be a requirement for the
council to fund up-front work to assist fundraising and source new elephants.
This would then be repaid from fundraising.
