Proposed road closures

Crayford Street West (at the intersection with Layard Street), Avondale, between 7pm and 5.30am from Monday, 31 August to Friday, 4 September. (Rain dates: Saturday, 5 to Saturday, 12 September.) Access to all properties will be maintained. Detours will be in place and staff on site to assist.

The northbound lanes of Queen Street (between Wakefield Street and Wellesley Street), central city, between 3.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, 5 September for the Qantas Screen Awards. This closure applies to all except authorised and emergency vehicles.

Galway Street (between Britomart Place and Gore Street), central city, between 7.30am and 6pm on Tuesday, 29 August to enable a mobile crane to safely lift a new pedestrian walkway into position. (Rain date: Saturday, 5 September.) Barricades, detours and signage will guide pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone.

The southbound lane of Vincent Street (between Mayoral Drive and Pitt Street), central city, between 7am on Wednesday 22, August and 6pm on Thursday 23, August to allow the safe removal of a tower crane from a nearby site. (Rain dates: Saturday 29 and Sunday 30, August.) This closure replaces a previous closure set for Saturday, 8 and Sunday, 9 August. Detours and signage will guide pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone.
