Proposed road closures
From City Scene, published on 23 August 2009
Park Road, Grafton, will be partially closed between 7pm
and 6am each day from Monday, 31 August to Monday, 31 September to allow the
installation of a stormwater drain and manhole. (Rain dates: the next available
dates before Monday, 5 October.) Access from Grafton Road will be closed with
detours in place.

Mauranui Avenue (at the intersection with St Marks Road),
Epsom, will be closed to traffic entering off St Marks Road between 9am on
Monday, 31 August and 3pm on Friday, 4 September to install brackets to Pier 16
of the Newmarket Viaduct. (Rain dates: Saturday, 5 September to Friday, 11
September.) Access from Mauranui Avenue will be maintained. A traffic management
plan will be in place and staff will be on site to assist traffic. Residents,
businesses and emergency vehicles will be given access.

Main Highway (between Ladies Mile and Arthur Street), Ellerslie, between 10.30am and noon on Saturday, 5 September for the Ellerslie
Spring Fairy Festival.
Dunkirk Road and Riverside Avenue (between Kings and Point
England roads), Panmure, between 9am and 2pm on Friday, 4 September. Access to
Armein Road will be maintained from Dunkirk Road, and access to Riki Road will
be maintained from Dunkirk Road.
Also, Maungarei Memorial Drive and Mountain
Road (between Maungarei Memorial Drive and Forge Way), Mt Wellington, between
9am and 2pm on Saturday, 3 September. These closures are for the New Zealand
Secondary Schools Cycling Championships.
Cricket Avenue (between Walters Road and Reimers Avenue)
and Raleigh Street (between Kowhai Street and Cricket Avenue), Mt Eden, between
12.15pm and 5pm on Sunday, 30 August for the Auckland v Bay of Plenty match at
Eden Park.
Walters Road (between Sandringham Road and Kowhai Street), Mt Eden,
may also be closed for safety purposes.
