Proposed road closures

The following roads in and around Auckland Domain will be closed between 5pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, 17 October for the Dove Pink Star Walk:

  • Domain Drive (between Park and Parnell Roads), Lower Domain Drive (between Stanley Street and Domain Drive), Titoki Street (between George Street and Domain Drive), Little George Street, Grandstand Road South, Grandstand Road North, Kiosk Road, The Crescent, Cenotapth Road, Maunsell Road, Football Road, and Lovers Lane.

Orpheus Drive (from the Manukau Cruising Club to Seacliffe Road), Onehunga, between Monday, 5 October and Saturday, 12 December for drainage works as part of the Manukau Harbour Crossing project. Safety barriers and detours will be in place to direct pedestrians and cyclists safely around the work zone.

Vernon Street (at the intersection with Drake Street), central city, between 6am and 7pm on Saturday, 10 October and Sunday, 11 October to enable an onsite crane to be safely removed. (Rain dates: Saturday, 17 October and Sunday 18, October.) Barricades, detours and marshals will be on site to direct pedestrians and traffic safely around the work zone.

Mahuhu Crescent and Te Taou Crescent, central city, between 6pm and 11pm on Thursday, 8 October for the Vodafone Music Awards at Vector Arena. Tangihua Street (between Beach Road and Quay Street), will also be closed post event for approximately 20 minutes to help with crowd dispersal.

Mahuhu Crescent and Te Taou Crescent, central city, between 6pm until 11pm on Tuesday, 13 October for the Black Eyed Peas concert at Vector Arena. Tangihua Street (between Beach Road and Quay Street), will also be closed post event for approximately 20 minutes to help with crowd dispersal.

The Eastern Viaduct car park, central city will be closed between 5pm Wednesday, 7 October and 7am Tuesday, 13 October for the Diwali Festival of Lights.
