Organic herbicide spraying
From City Scene, published on 4 October 2009
Spraying of grass verges, kerbs, channels and street
gardens
Weather permitting, an organic contact herbicide will be
applied to the edges of paths, fence-lines, around specimen trees, posts, in
gardens and shrubberies, and all street environments, including road reserves
and pleasance areas. The purpose is to control grasses, most weeds, and to
manage obstacles for the mowing operators. The exceptions to the above are
low-toxicity Glyphosate, which may occasionally be applied to assist with the
control of problematic weeds. Signs are displayed while spraying is in progress.
All work will be done by Growsafe Registered Chemical Applicators.
