Assembled ceramics
This class offers the opportunity to experiment with a variety of sculpting
techniques giving the student the skills to assemble the different clay elements into a
sculpture or sculptural vessel. Each pottery technique supports a certain form
or shape which can then be used to build unique figures and vessels. A pottery
wheel is available to experience the process of throwing pots. Visit Kairava's website

Ceramics studies
Artstation is now offering 4 consecutive clay courses over one year, to give an
insight into four different aspects of ceramic design and art: tableware,
casting, tile making and sculpture. This will give participants a thorough
knowledge of the processes of a ceramic studio including designing new forms,
learning about ceramic techniques and the procedures of a small production line.
Term one - Tableware
Term one will take you into the art of making functional vessels, enjoying hand
building, throwing on a pottery wheel, and decorating the surfaces with carvings
and slips. Terms can be booked one by one. Visit Kairava's website
