Printmaking
Viva lo Stampato!
Viva lo stampato is all about making marks - this is what
printmaking is all about. From the primitive to the traditional, we will cover
direct printing such as wood and linocuts as well as an introduction to etching.
Most materials are included in the cost of the class.
Students will need to buy zinc plate, mould made rag paper and protective gloves
from the Artstation office, as the course progresses. Please bring a workbook,
cotton rags, 2 old clean towels and an old shirt or apron. This course is
suitable for all levels.
Maximum enrolment is 8.
Beginners mixed media printmaking
This course explores a combination of both silkscreen and etching techniques used
together. Students will learn stencil and photographic screen-printing, aspects
of Intaglio printmaking and paper embossing.
At
the completion of the course students will have a range of prints and an
engraving on zinc plate which can be polished and presented as a unique piece of
art.
Maximum enrolment is 8.
