The Auckland Festival Trust is the independent body that runs Auckland's biennial arts and cultural festival. The inaugural event, branded as
AK03 was held in the spring of 2003. In 2005, the Auckland Festival shifted to a summertime slot, with AK05 running from 25 February to 13 March 2005.
